April Showers

Oh yes, April was rainy. Not necessarily in a bad way, in that I mean, April showers did bring May flowers (I grew.)

Really, the only thing I remember about April is being very upset with how I was treating myself. I felt like I wasn’t respecting myself the way that I should, and I decided to finally do something about it. Fast forward to now, because I have already posted about this (My Fitness Journey). Now, I am still moving forward. The momentum started and lulled, but never stopped.

I’m a scientist, and I subscribe to Newton’s 1st law of motion which states, “an object in motion stays in motion until acted on by an outside force.” My outside forces were strong enough to change my direction of motion, which frequently involves slowing down, but not stopping; think about driving a car around a curve in the road. April 2016 was the beginning of my momentum. Would I change it? Hell no.

Since this post is shorter than others, and admittedly kind of boring, here’s a nice picture of a thunderstorm to remind you that even in the darkness, there is light(ning).
