Stop making excuses!

I should not even have to say more than what is said in the title of this post.

The only thing holding you back is yourself. If somebody tries to you that you can’t, that means you need to show them you can.

Nothing in life comes easily. Nothing is going to be handed to you. You stopped being spoon fed when you left the high chair. It’s time to grow up.

I am so sick of people making excuses for why they can’t do something– including myself. I get annoyed listening to other people make excuses, but that has also made me realize how annoying my own excuses are.

There is no reason that you should feel hindered from doing something you want to do. Maybe it isn’t something you need to do, maybe it isn’t something other people want you to do, but nothing should make you lose hope. Nobody can take your hope.

So just:

Quit making excuses, putting it off, complaining about it, dreaming about it, whining about it, crying about it, believing you can’t, worrying if you can, waiting until you’re older, skinnier, richer, braver, or all around better. Suck it up, hold on tight, say a prayer, amke a plan & JUST DO IT. (Nike)

I have this hanging on my wall and let me tell you, while I don’t always look at it, when I do, my attitude and mood flip right away. Once I realize that I am in control of myself and only myself and I can do anything now not under some idealized version of my future self, everthing seems a lot easier, better, and manageable.
